Overview
Vertex Health partnered with Originl Systems to modernize its cybersecurity posture as the organization expanded its cloud footprint and supported a growing remote workforce. Existing security controls were fragmented across multiple platforms, creating visibility gaps, inconsistent access policies, and increasing compliance challenges. Our objective was to implement a Zero Trust security framework that strengthened identity protection, centralized security management, and improved operational resilience while maintaining a seamless experience for employees and administrators.
Challenge
The organization relied on traditional perimeter-based security while users, applications, and devices were distributed across multiple cloud and on-premises environments. Identity management, endpoint protection, and access governance were handled through disconnected systems, making security operations complex and increasing organizational risk. The client also needed to improve compliance readiness while reducing the operational overhead associated with managing security across the enterprise.
Solution
We performed a comprehensive security assessment covering identity management, endpoint security, privileged access, and existing monitoring capabilities. Based on the findings, we designed and implemented a phased Zero Trust architecture centered on identity-first security, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, centralized monitoring, and role-based access control. Security policies were standardized across the environment while continuous monitoring and automated threat detection improved visibility and accelerated incident response without disrupting business operations.
Results
The new security architecture significantly improved organizational visibility, access governance, and compliance readiness. Identity management became centralized, security operations were simplified, and incident response times decreased through automated monitoring and threat detection. Following implementation, the organization established a scalable cybersecurity foundation capable of supporting future cloud adoption while reducing operational risk and strengthening overall security posture.
